Dr. Gillian Saloojee
Executive Director, Malamulele Onward
Gillian is a physiotherapist with a special interest in working with families and children with cerebral palsy. She trained under Jennifer Bryce to become a Bobath tutor at the Bobath Centre in London and is now a senior SANDTA Co-ordinator Instructor. For over ten years, she worked as a chief physiotherapist at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto where she was responsible for the paediatric physiotherapy service and the cerebral palsy clinic.
She has also worked at Elim Hospital in Limpopo and at Forest Town School for children with cerebral palsy in Johannesburg in addition to spending time working and teaching at the Bobath Centre in London. She obtained her M.Sc from the University of the Witwatersrand and PhD in 2007. In addition to leading Malamulele Onward she is currently involved in ongoing research projects, has a small private practice and runs courses on cerebral palsy both nationally and internationally.
